About the Job

Central Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio is in search of a Head of School to lead and inspire a community of over 600 young men and women, oversee all aspects of school operations and to ensure the school is operated in the highest standards of faith, education and administration. Since its creation in 1920, Central Catholic High School has a rich tradition in Northwest Ohio as a school of excellence.

As the strategic leader of the school, the Head of School will collaborate with the Diocese of Toledo, Board of Directors and administrators to set a vision and strategic priority for Central Catholic High School and ensure progress toward all goals and outcomes. The Head of School, in collaboration with the Priest Leader and other administrators, is responsible for the integration of faith and learning within the school through policy implementation and the maintenance, expansion and evaluation of high quality religious, academic and student programs.

As the top administrator, the Head of School will serve on several boards and act as a direct supervisor and key mentor to those in leadership positions throughout the school. The Head of School in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the fiscal health and budget oversight of the school. As the face of Central Catholic High School, the Head of School is responsible for current enrollment management and strategy along with all alumnae and donor relations to ensure a legacy of Central Catholic High School for future generations.

The Head of School must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church and have the ability to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith. A master’s degree in administration, education or a related field is required. Three years of classroom teaching experience is preferred. A successful candidate must be a leader who will emphasize institutional unity while collaborating and partnering with all constituents. At least two years of previous fundraising, budget oversight and leadership experience is required.
